Christina has been employed with Crop Production Services for nine years. She obtained an A.S. degree in Business from Truckee Meadows Community College. Christina has served on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Landscape Association for two years as well as serving on multiple Committees.

Leslie has been working in the horticulture industry for the past 29 years. She obtained a B.S. degree in Plant Science/Integrated Pest Management from UNR and an M.S. degree from UC Davis in Environmental Horticulture with a specialty in Plant Problem Diagnosis. Leslie has served on the City of Reno Recreation and Parks Commission, is a past commissioner and Chair of the Reno Urban Forestry Commission and  is Past President of the Nevada Shade Tree Council. She has taught classes in horticulture and tree care through the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and Truckee Meadows Community College and has been a guest lecturer for numerous industry conferences. She has been on the NLA Board of Directors for 3.5 years and is the chair of the Publications Committee. Leslie is the owner of Stewardship Horticultural, a company specializing in horticultural consulting and structural pruning of young landscape trees.

Brian has been working in the landscape industry since 1977. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Entomology and Plant Pathology. Brian is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist and a member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA). He assists legal counsel as an expert witness, and he performs tree appraisals, forensics, inventories and other professional services.

Brian has served on a number of industry and community associations, including serving as president of the Nevada Landscape Association, member of the NLA Installation Standards and Maintenance Standards committees, and chair of the Reno Urban Forestry Commission.

Sal PerezSal Perez, Director

Sal has worked in the green industry for 20 years. He is a partner with Signature Landscapes and the Senior Field/Production Manager. He has been with Signature for 16 years and was the firm’s second employee. He was hired by Lebo Newman when the company first started doing business in the Truckee Meadows. At Signature, Sal oversees a diverse group of projects from residential and commercial landscape installations to renovations and enhancements. Perez is a certified expert in paver patios, water features and irrigation. Sal is Landscape Industry Certified in both Irrigation and Softscape Installation. He holds an interlocking concrete paver institute certification for both segmental retaining wall and paver installation.

Gregg started his career in 1986, working for University of Nevada, Reno. In September 2004, Gregg became the first Certified Landscape Technician in the state of Nevada. Gregg is currently the general manager of the landscape division for Rail City Garden Center, and he teaches training classes for up-and-coming landscape personnel. This is Gregg’s second term on the Board of Directors; he also served from 2002 through 2006. Gregg was given the distinguished honor of Ambassador of the Industry in 2015.

Henry works at Western Nevada Supply and has been with the company for 13 years. This is Henry’s second tour of duty as a director on the NLA Board. Henry was one of the first to help create and set up the LLC test site at TMCC, and he has served as a judge every year since 2004.
